Do you think you might be pregnant? Are you having symptoms or just feel pregnant? Maybe you’ve even taken a test at home that was positive. How can you tell if you really are?

Many of the symptoms of pregnancy are the same for starting a period. Your symptoms could even be caused by a nonviable pregnancy. This is a pregnancy that is not capable of developing into a normal pregnancy.

Examples of nonviable pregnancy conditions that may cause pregnancy symptoms or give a positive pregnancy test result:

  • Blighted Ovum
  • Molar Pregnancy
  • Ectopic Pregnancy (a potentially life-threatening condition where the pregnancy is in the fallopian tube or elsewhere – not in the uterus)
  • Impending miscarriage

How Does It Work?

Our pregnancy tests are self-administered urine tests that deliver quick results and are most accurate after a missed period. The tests detect the presence of the hormone hCG once it reaches a level of 20 mIU/ml or higher. This level is typically present around 2 weeks after ovulation or 4 weeks after your last menstrual period.

You may be experiencing some or all of these symptoms. Taking a test is the quickest and earliest way to know if you could be pregnant.

We offer free and confidential, walk-in pregnancy tests AND free ultrasounds.

So The Test Is Positive. Now What?

Even with a positive pregnancy test, you still need to confirm you are in a viable pregnancy. The most accurate way to do this is with an ultrasound. Click here to get more information about getting a free ultrasound.
